New York City – 2017
I just got back from New York and it just goes to show that even a work trip can turn into something amazing. I went to meet an agent to discuss what I’m doing for the next few months. That on it’s own would have been brilliant, but even better, I got to spend a week in the city!
Me being the theatre fanatic that I am, the first thing I did when the meeting was over was take the subway down to Broadway. During my trip I was lucky enough to see two fantastic shows (Miss Saigon and Spamilton), go backstage at The Lion King and also meet the cast of Hamilton!!!
On the subject of Hamilton, I also knew that whilst I was in the big apple I wanted to get as close as I could to the room where it happens. I decided to plan my own little Hamiltour, visiting everywhere he ever went (almost)
Before I get off the subject of musicals I just though I needed to say what a mind blowing, astonishing, absolutely incredible performance Jon Jon Briones gave in Miss Saigon! Flawless.
I’m starting to question who’s actually still reading after my little tangent. For those who are, thank you. For those who aren’t, I understand
Back to the point.
After my theatre excursion I felt that it was time to do some more to touristy (but equally impressive) things around New York. All over Instagram I’ve been seeing these amazing milkshakes in a restaurant called ‘Black Tap’ and I had to try them! I had the Oreo freak shake and I hate to say it. But it defeated me.
I went to the American Museum of Natural History, the Museum Of American Finance (for Hamilton!), Central Park Zoo and much much more!
On a whole this trip was amazing and I expect to be back very soon!
